Just bought some Meguiars glass cleaner and it smells disgusting. Exactly like the urinal cakes in any mens room. Gross. I marked the bottle “external glass only” with a sharpie on every surface. Really, who wants their interior to smell like a highway rest stop???

And on that topic why does everything they make have to smell like bubblegum, rainbow sparkles and unicorn poop. When did the Meguiars board of directors get taken over by a hoard of thirteen year old girls? I drive a muscle…

Hey All,

Got my 5.9 broke down to the bare block today. Took out the freeze plugs I could reach (gotta get the rear ones out when block is off the stand) pulled the oil galley plugs out of the sides.

Should I pull the small ones out behind the cam retaining plate?

What else should I pull? Should I chase the threaded holes before or after tanking? Or both?

Should I scotch brite the head surfaces first? Anything else I’m not thinking of?

Hey All,

In the process of getting my 5.9 magnum broken down for a trip to the hot tank etc. The rollers on the lifters feel good. They look okay too. I was thinking about running them until I talked to Tim over at Hughes this morning and found out I can’t replace them w/o the heads coming off.
