I am selling my SOLID M body in an effort to fund my A body project. Car is in great shape is a factory 4bbl car, has dual exh, stock CB radio (not hooked up tho) Cruise control, etc. Great cruiser.

I bought a 8.25 Sure Grip rear for it and that will come with the car too. It is disassembled but it is FREE with the car.

Well I thought I might as well start a build thread for my 68 Valiant. I have had this car for several years now. The idea was to build a big block car, but now I’m not sure………. It started life much as it sits now. It has bucket seats, factory air, 273 engine, 904 trans and 7.25 rear.

I got a 8.75 rear that I am building for it right now. I also have all the 4 speed stuff from my old 67 Dart (/6 car) that I have been saving for this car. Just need a sb bell and a few odds and ends.

I just bought a cast iron sb 833 bell from “65 Dartman” (thanks Don!!!) And I’m trying to figure out if a large clutch (10 in. Is the big one right?) Will work in it.

Cannot find a casting # on that puppy anywhere. Are there some that do not use them? Any ideas where to look?

Oh and the bearing retainer hole is the 4.3 in. one.

Hey All,

Attached is a pic of my K frame. I got it with the sway bar pictured. I don’t know what year this came from. I want to get lca’s that have the correct tabs for this k member. I have heard that 72 is different than 73-76. There is a fabo member that has some lca’s for a 74 with the tabs and I want to make sure they will work with this k before I buy.

So I’ve always wanted to build a big block A body. I’ve had my 68 Val 273, 904, 7.25 axle, factory A/C for some time now and just enjoyed tooling around with it. Recently I got my 8.75 axle, 833 O/D trans and all the parts needed for the swap (save for sb bellhousing which I am working on right now). I have also got just about everything for my 73-76 disc brake upgrade, sway bar, .995 torsion bars, etc. So I am going to get the rear, trans and front end squared away with the…
