Finally !
A trip to the alignment shop , a good wash and it will be time to sort out the launch and determine if it wants to behave in public.
I have nearly six years of scrimping , saving , swearing and sorting.
O.K. , two years were stolen by forces beyond my control , but I have been waiting for this day for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

Who wins ?
Questions raised when this was first posed were interesting………sand or bedrock ? Lane choice could be critical.
Fred is clearly a big block……..Gilligan has a significant weight advantage.
I say if Little Buddy can cut a bulb , he gets to the stripe by a fender.

I am priming the oil system on my motor….48 degree w-9’s with T&D 1.6 rockers…..Smith pushrods with .040 resttrictors and CS roller rockers with I believe the .210 offset intake push rod cups.
I am getting oil except to the intake rocker. Plenty at the lifter , the valley fills up easily. Oil…

Bolt on or pin on , flat or ???
My first choice would be a cowl , but I will consider any.
I am in St. Paul , Mn. but can travel or pay to box and ship.

Distributor hole plug ?

Does anyone make a plug for the R-3 ( or LA ) block when switching to a front mount distributor ?
I mean besides me ?:rolleyes:
I think I can fab one up , but if there is an off the shelf that isn’t a bank breaker , I’d definitely consider it.
