Holley Engine Mounts – question

I see people talking about Holley Engine mounts for their Gen 3 hemi and looking on their site I see these:

Hooker Blackheart Engine Mount Brackets​

Which are not Holley branded obviously. Are these the right ones for a 392/6.4L hemi? Looks like it based on the description but if there’s something else better that people are using I’d appreciate any direction or feedback.

Simple Wiring Diagram for starting a 383

I have a 383 BB (with 727 torqueflight) that came with the purchase of my car that I’m not going to be using, so I’m going to put it up for sale.

Before I do that, I want to get the engine running. I’m looking for a super-simple wiring diagram on how to hook up the battery/starter/coil/distributor to make it run. No key just a momentary contact + on/off switch for power and to activate the starter.

Can anyone out there help me?

E-Body Convertible rear speaker placement?

Question for convertible owners: where/how do we fit rear speakers in these cars? I had a 70 challenger hard top in the past, so dropping a couple 6×9’s in the back package tray was a no-brainer. This is my first convertible and I want to fit it with a decent sound system, hoping for 4 speakers, with two of them in the back.

Any advice is appreciated, and pics would be awesome.

East-central MA mopar e-body people?

Hey there,

I’m in Hopkinton MA, so basically 495 just southeast of the MA Pike. Wondering if anyone on this forum lives in the general area? I’d like to meet up with some fellow mopar fanatics, maybe at Gillette on one of the Thursday events or another local cruise this year.

I’m building a 70 challenger convertible with a 392 hemi, so seeing a car that’s been completed like that would be very helpful to me, and talking to someone who’s done the work would be invaluable.

Gen 3 Hemi moto mounts – best option?

I’m putting a 392 hemi in my 70 challenger convertible and at the point where I need to buy motor mounts, trans crossmember etc. I saw these Mancini Racing mounts which look functional but I know there’s lots of other options. I plan to use the stock k-member and will do some boxing and strengthening of it based on what I’ve seen others do.

I’d like to hear from people who have “been there, done that”, what’s good and why did you like it?

392 Hemi with a shaker hood?

Question for guys who have late-model engines with shaker hoods: how do you accomplish it?

Do you mount the shaker bubble on top of the engine, or mount it to the hood? Either way, seems like it would be nonfunctional for it’s originally-intended-purpose (right)?

Any help is appreciated – especially photos.

Steering – new gear box vs rack & pinion

Been reading through various threads on steering options here, and it seems like some people think that a good, brand new steering gear box is as good as rack & pinion in these cars.

I really want my 70 Challenger to drive and handle well, and I’m willing to put in the time and money to go either route. If a box gets me there great, but in my last build (not a mopar) I bought a brand new box and it definitely isn’t as good as rack and pinion.
