Fendertop signal lights
My driver’s side light is raised up maybe a quarter inch or so. It won’t stay down.
Is there a clip I’m missing? If so, where do I find one? Is there an alternative to securing my fendertop blinker light indicator besides glue, epoxy or silicone?
Big block power steering
Okay, so I’m rebuilding my 400. Got it painted and partially assembled.
Just got the brackets and assorted small parts back from the powder coaters today.
Even got a seal kit for the power steering pump.
But like a dumbass, I forgot to take pics of the motor before it came apart.

AC hoses
Ok guys, I have an issue. I’m rebuilding (& upgrading) a 73 Newport. Previous owner got rid of the AC (probably because it didn’t work) but left the compressor intact, as the way it’s laid out, the alternator needs the compressor pulley. I did manage to find a side bracket to relocate the alternator but now it seems that may have been premature, as I may need to buy another alternator made specifically for non AC cars. Customizing a 73 Newport “Custom”
Little by little, bit by bit, Project Turd (so named on account of it’s doggy door brown and presently it runs like crap) coming along. Thought I’d show off some of my tweeks.
So far it has shorty headers, the torsion bars and rear ladder bars have been dialed down, and a new set of Magnum 500 muscle car rims have been mounted, and I blacked out the grill & headlight bezels. Today I added a mesh inset & a pentastar emblem onto the grill. It still needs touch up painting and clear coat but…
Cylinder head date codes
Please forgive my ignorance, I got a pair of used 346 heads for rebuilding my 400. I need to know where is, and how to read, the date codes on these heads. I know in 73, Mother Mopar started using hardened exhaust valve seats in anticipation of upcoming unleaded fuels. I’d like to know if I can just hand lap the valves and run them as-is or if I must take them into a machine shop to have hardened seats installed.

Flip down license fuel door
Wanted/need/MUST HAVE!
I possess a 73 Newport, license plate fuel door is missing. This thing needs to be road worthy and legal in 6 months or so & I have to be able to attach the tag to the rear bumper. Plus it’d be nice to hide the gas cap. Anyone have a lead on where I can get one?
I checked Rock Auto, all they have are gas caps. Flea-bay only offers doors for other makes/mfgr’s. I’d accept one for another car if I thought it could be modded to fit/work for this. Please help.
