’65 New Yorker bringing it back to life thread-

Picked up this car September 14 2019, from a good freind. Been watching this car for over 10 years, negotiating price, thinking about it, ect- decided to finally go ahead and pick her up.

Engine is not original- ’69 383 B 2 barrel.

Pretty solid MI car. Only hole in the floor boards is under the gas pedal, about 6″x6″. 2 small holes in the trunk about 3″x3″. Few small areas of bondo in the car with about 3 more small areas that need work.

Interior is pretty good, other than the drivers…

Gas tank compatibility ’65 New Yorker

Looking for gas tanks compatible with my ’65 new yorker. Needs to use the same sending unit and straps, if possible.

Having a hard time getting the info to cross reference with other cars. What tanks have you guys swapped out?

I’ve been told the ’70 road runner fits nice, but unsure if straps/sending unit swapped out…

Front seats compatible with ’65 new yorker?

I am looking for a better front seat for my new Yorker, and am wondering what other years, makes and models might have compatible seats- to broaden my search.

Currently has an original bench seat, but am open to all compatible options.
