Ever see brake booster like this?
Rusty Muffler March 23, 2024
The odd brake noise was actually coming from an air inlet on this booster. Says Bendix Aircraft Corp on it. The inlet has a sort of coarse brill fabric under a screen with a snap ring. The sound would come from it intermittently when at a complete stop. It sounded like metal to metal but couldn’t be. I haven’t found any info on this and there’s nothing in the FSM. They list a Bendix rebuild kit on Ebay but doesn’![IMG_20240323_100229046.jpg IMG_20240323_100229046.jpg](https://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/attachments/img_20240323_100229046-jpg.651662/)

Rusty Muffler March 19, 2024
Brakes are like new but when I get near a stop I get this weird creaking. I thought it might be the hubcaps so I removed them, still there. Seems mostly coming from the front right (pass). I bled the brakes and re-adjusted them thinking one wheel cyli…

57 Belvedere fuel gauge and sender accuracy
Rusty Muffler March 9, 2024
Before I put the new gas tank in I temporarily hooked up what looks to be original sender from where the wire plugs to it under the car and of course grounded it and turned on the key and watched the gauge work from empty to full and around halfway while moving the float arm. I also checked the cork float in a bucket of water and it stood right on top of the water. I figured that’s close enough to tell me it has “some” buoyancy. (I know gas is different but by how much?)

Not sure about Vansauto
Rusty Muffler March 6, 2024
I recently purchased a new tank from Vans and the fuel pickup was a good 1.5″ off the tank floor which seemed excessive. I contacted Vans and asked him if that was normal. He said it was but with no explanation of why it was ok. When I asked about running low on fuel much sooner he got nasty with me! Don’t know if it’s a coincidence but I can’t get the tank straps to reach the J bolts so I can spin the nuts on like the tank was slightly too big. I have longer j bolts on order to fix this…
Got new gas tank today, how far should the pickup AND float be from the bottom?
Rusty Muffler March 4, 2024
How far should the fuel pickup AND float be from the tank floor? Right now it’s at least 1.5 inches off the floor. Shouldn’t the float probably be close to resting on the floor too?
