This radiator kept my original 273 cool but I replaced it with an aluminum unit when I upgraded to the 408.

Do you put drill a small hole in your thermostat?

When I was a young lad, one of my early motorhead mentor/teachers who was a die-hard Mopar guy taught me to always drill a small hole in the face of thermostats when putting in a new one.
The theory was to allow any trapped air to escape while it was filling.
I’ve always done it and never questioned the logic.
Anyone else?

Draining the radiator

Ever try to drain the radiator from the t-handled petcock into a container only to have the stream go wonky?
Heres what I came up with to get the antifreeze into the container instead of the shop floor.
I cut an old Lucas oil bottle and hung it on the petcock.
It ain’t dumb if it works right?

What mods for my 904 when using the BPE 408?

I will be replacing the tired, smokey, original 273 in my 1967 Barracuda #projectvertfish with a fresh BPE 408.
Since it wont ship until mid October 2020, I have some time to freshen up, build up, and modify my 904 TF transmission to hopefully handle …

My car is a 67 Barracuda convertible.
It has a ragged looking fake chrome strip at the boyyom.
I bought a new one but I am wondering if I will be able to install it into my old windshield gasket.
Anyone got tips besides get a new windshield gasket?
