largest reasonable tires for 68 Newport

Hello Mopar People,

I have some new 15 x7 rims for my 68 and was wondering what y’all would advise for the largest reasonable tire size to fit the wheel wells without touching on corners, etc. on non modified rear end/front end etc.

Thanks,
Mike

mystery fire wall coolant connection – air conditioned 68 Newport

Hello,

Subject car is an H-code 68 Newport with AC.

It has 4 heater core sized ~1 inch hose connections on the passenger side. (2 long hoses to the water pump housing, and 1 shorty between the 2 pairs. on the fire wall.)

Over on the driver’s side there is a smaller half inch or so hose connection, currently unpopulated. This car hasn’t been run in a long time, and while test running it yesterday we noticed coolant coming from this tube.

Can someone tell me where this is supposed to be…

68 throttle kick down linkage 4brl

Hello,

I’m looking for the intake manifold mounted transmission kick-down linkage for a 68 H-code (4 barrel carb) Newport. I’m not sure I have the correct description, but this is the part that has a shaft from the carb, and pivots over the engine to work the transmission kick down (throttle pressure) level.

I’m uncertain if this is Newport specific.

Thanks in advance.

rear end ID help

Hello Mopar fans,

First visit on the rear end of the 55 Windsor/300 project.
I understand most were 8 1/4 rear ends, but unsure of myself here,
as it resembles the 8 3/4 a bit, and does not match the google results for 8 1/4 rear end.

Thanks,
Mike
