Disc master cylinder size

So as I’m anxiously awaiting my rebuilt dual diaphragm Bendix from Dewey/Steve, I’ve been cleaning up all my junkyard conversion parts for installation. Other than the booster, my spindles, calipers, rotors, distribution block, and mc are from a ’73 Town & Country. One thing I noticed though, is that the ’73 master cylinder is a lot shorter than the ones I’ve seen on earlier single piston cars. Are there any advantages from using an earlier version (i.e. more fluid capacity, etc.)?…

14″ wheels and tires

I just switched to 15″ factory wheels for my disc conversion so I’m selling the stock set from my 66 300. I’d rather these get some use rather than rotting in my garage.

Black factory wheels (4) and a silver spare(1). All 14″ 5×4.5. Wheels are all in good shape as they had full covers for the past 55 years.

Tires:
Hankook Optima H724 – 215/75/14 (4 each)
1 old bias ply spare. I found the receipt from 1975 if anyone wants to try and warranty it. Hah! Hankooks were on it when I bought…

Correct 66 300 carpet heel pad

So I’ve seen tons of posts regarding fit, color, etc. For anyone who has replaced the carpet in their 66 300, do the aftermarket kits from any vendor have the correct heel pads with the stainless trim?

Thanks guys!

66 fender tag – weird stamps

I was looking at my 66 300’s fender tag today and saw two codes I never noticed before: w1 and y7. I never realized they were there because they are reverse stamped. Was this an “oops” at the factory i.e. they forgot to add these two options until the plate was embossed? Attached it a pic of the tag and build sheet. I felt like an archeologist when I extracted that sheet from under the rear seat fill panel. Sheesh!

66 Chrysler 300 sail panels

My passenger side plastic sail panel is completely FUBAR. I’ve researched and reached out to a couple companies referenced on these boards for reproductions but no response yet. I found a set on ebay but I don’t need two and the side I need shows damage anyway. I’ve heard that 67 Fury hard top panels may be the same. Can anyone confirm this? Reason I ask is there are 3 Furys at my local yard that look complete. Just want to confirm before I start digging through them. Thanks guys!

Welcome MetalManiacAZ to FCBO!

I’ve been a Mopar fan since I was about 12 and a fan of C bodies since I saw a copper 65 Sport Fury in Mopar Muscle back in the mid 90’s. I scored my own copper/black vinyl top 65 Sport Fury when I turned 17. I recently picked up an all-original 66 Chrysler 300 and am in the process of restoring it as a driver.
