Hi just got my 451 in and running,want some tuning advice,the cam is hydraulic comp 285hl,…241,247 @ 50,with ported stealths,with an msd ready to run,have a light blue and light silver springs in dizzy(2nd quickest setup there is)engine is 10.25 to 1 compression with full tti headers and 3 inch system,i run it on 98 premium and octane booster…………thoughts on initial and total timing,at the moment i have the 21 degree advance stop bushing in…..thanks in advance matt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just finished rebuilding my 727,it has a fully manualised cheetah valve body with no low gear braking,i was just wondering though because my instruction installation sheet with my valve body says if transmission is out of car remove the governer weight…

i have just reassemble my front clutch drum with 5 alto red frictions and 5 kolene steels,its put together dry and i have 0.115 clearance to snap ring,in carl munroes book he says about 0.015 per friction which means it should only be 0.075,will this be ok and what are the ramifications of leaving it as is,cause i also read somewhere you can have up to 0.125 clearance in here……opinions

hi all,i,ve bolted my k frame up to my 451 which is on a stand ,just to check how my skid pan checks out and the k frame just wont mount up flush to the engine mounts,me on one side my dad on the other pulling it up evenly and it just wont come up,there is a 5mill to 10 mill gap on both sides its like my v on the kframe is too far apart for the block and mounts to come up flush,the k frame is out of a 73 cuda which had a 318 on it and i bought the schmacher mounts to fit the big block to…
