Returning to PS

My right arm isn’t what it once was, going back to PS. The reservoir was leaking pretty bad before and the way the outside of it was beat up I can see why. Anyway I cleaned it up and smoothed out the metal on the lip. My concern is should the inside be painted? I think not, but I’m not sure. However it looked like it was, but it all came off with the Simple Green, didn’t on the outside though!

904 Kickdown linkage

I’m sure this has been asked before but I cant find it. The attached picture shows my linkage as it rests. My question is the lever on the transmission can travel about a half inch more at full throttle, but wont as it’s adjusted. So should I adjust it more that the lever on trans is more engaged at rest?

1966 Monaco 4 BBl conversion ( Camshaft ?)

I have a stock 4 door 66 Monaco that I installed a 4 BBl intake and carb on several years ago but didn’t swap the camshaft. The engine runs great however its got a few oil leaks and the freeze out plugs need to be replaced so I’m pulling the motor this spring because its time to address these issues. Could anyone recommend a good camshaft & lifter kit to put in? Also planning on replacing the timing chain as well.
