I posted earlier about getting my 904 rebuilt. I just spoke to John from CRT and he informed me he’s no longer building automatic 904’s at least for the foreseeable future, only racing stuff. So then I tried Hughes Performance, they seem to have ended rebuilding them as well! So I know not to go with TCI. Has anyone used Performance Automatic?

Anyone know of a good shop, I am looking to have my 904 transmission rebuilt here in the Allentown/Bethlehem area. I was thinking about going with Cope and getting a replacement but it appears they are out of stock. I am pretty sure the trans is original and its making weird noises like a whining sound. I’ve changed the fluid and filter. The car was born with a 318 but was replaced with a 360 along the way.

Does anyone know what would be a good chemical product to strip a radio bezel. The one I have looks horrible.

My 71 Scamp with a 360 and 904 transmission started making this noise real bad today after a long hour or so drive. It was a hot day about 85 or so. I’ve heard this before stopped at lights but not like this. Today when we got home it was doing it in Park, neutral, reverse and forward gears.
