I just removed the gas tank to clean it out and I see there is no vent tube on it. I’m not overly familiar with venting systems on a ’64 but I thought they did have a vent tube. I don’t think the gas cap is vented. Any thoughts as to correctness?

Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone has word of wisdom on removing and replacing the Rad petcock on my 1964 New Yorker? The turn handle(?) is striped and won’t open or close and has a small leak. Thanks

Hi folks, can someone tell me what the trim adjacent to the fuel tank door on a 1964 New Yorker is? Pot Metal, cast aluminum, or stainless? mine has some severe pitting so I’m thinking pot metal but I would like to know for sure before I order some Muggy Weld. Thanks
