As some of you have seen in my other posts, I have a 72 Newport. It has a little bit of rust at the bottoms of the quarter panels, (no holes yet.) It also has a few small spots of chipped paint on the nose of the hood (not rusted yet.) The car has it’s original paint. My question is should I fix these problems before they get worse or leave them alone because of original paint. The problems are still small enough where its hard to spot glancing at the car.

I have a 72 Newport. My grandfather came and looked at it today and told me that it sounded like it was running on 7 cylinders. How do I tell if I really am? Ill try posting a video tomorrow. He could be wrong too.

The Newport made it from Pennsylvania to Indiana just fine. It does have a few issues though. The steering is extremely touchy. Down the highway you barely move the wheel and you are in the other lane, what could cause overly easy steering?

I couldn’t find a particular thread for things like this. I bought a 72 Newport and surprise! it’s too big to fit in our garage. After doing research most car covers around here are not big enough for this enormous car. Anybody know of a place where I can get a cover for a 72 newport?

I have a 1972 Newport. It has a heater core leak. It is currently bypassed. I will probably drive the car this winter and would like to have this job done ahead of time. I have tried to do research and for the life of me I can not find a heater core for this. I’m not a dimwit, and I could probably figure out how to tear out and replace it if you explained it to me.
