Aluminum intake/head torque values

I’m going to bolt on my chinese airgap to my chinese aluminum heads on my 360 and I wondered if there was a concensus as to a good torque value? Thanks in advance.

Rebuild questions on a 74 8.75SG diff

My Challenger- I know, I know- developed a "crunch" at the end of the season and I’m going to see why. It’s a cone style SG and I’m leaning towards a clutch type or A/M unit. I’m shopping for the best bang for my buck for rebuild parts, gear…

8.75 repairs, parts, rebuild, SG and such

I didn’t realize there was a Canadian component to the site! My 74 Challenger- I know it’s not an A body- developed a "crunch" type noise at the end of the season and I’m going to pull the carrier and have a look. It’s a cone type. I’m also t…

Standard, SBM internally balanced 6 bolt 130 tooth flywheel

Anybody in driving range of Toronto got a standard 130 tooth flywheel for a 10.5″ clutch they’d part with? Something not heat checked nor ground to death preferably. I can get it re-surfaced.

Cyl head/valve cover/intake clearances

I’m using A/M aluminum heads and a air-gap type intake and Mopar Performance cast valve covers with the thick (.200″) cover gaskets, and I seem to have some interference between the intake runner ends and the valve covers. When seated with regular Fel Pro intake gaskets the intake runners are a little (1/16″) proud of the head gasket rail and seem to either touch or be very close to the rim of the valve cover, to where it looks like the covers wouldn’t pull down enough to properly seal. My…

PCV setup with Mopar Performance valve covers

I’ve got a set of the cast Mopar Performance valve covers and they’ve come with a single notched opening that would take a 1/4 turn oil fill cap usually. What are others doing to accommodate a PCV hook-up? My local jobber says that they can get a 1/4 turn breather that has a hole in it’s top where a pcv hose/valve could go in, but I’m wondering if it’s a case of drilling the blank opening in the casting for a grommet and regular pcv valve. Has anyone ever drilled/grommeted and hosed both…

Setting valve lash with new, non filled hydraulic roller lifters

My stroker 360 is a hybrid Magnum block and LA heads and I’m running new oem hydraulic roller lifters with the Jeep pushrods to feed the rockers. I soaked the new lifters in a container of oil for a couple of days, but once in the block, they seem to be not filled with oil completely and I’m wondering about setting the valve lash, if even roughly. Normally with a hydraulic lifter I’d look for tightening until the push rod stopped moving and then a turn or turn and a half more, but that’d be…
