Outside tail lights not working

On both sides the two inside tail lights work, but the outside ones do not. Also, are they just running lights or brake lights? Are they powered through the turn signal switch?

Thanks for the help

68 plymouth fury 3 brake lights on passenger side only.

I recently got a 68 Plymouth fury 3 and the tail lights will trun on when I turn the lights on and the turn signals work on both side. But, the brake lights only work on the passenger side and not the driverside. I’ve changed out the fuses and cleaned the connectors. Could it be a bad connection in the fuse box? Or a bad connection somewhere else? Any ideas what it could be?

I’ve recently purchased a 1968 Plymouth Fury 3. I had a 72 Chevy c20, but the wife made me sell it so I could have a car for the kids and her to drive in. It’s got a few things that need to be worked on. But so far, it’s been a great car to drive.
