Torque converter swap

Is there any benefit to adding the "performance" torque convertors from places like Jegs? I see one for sale locally, brand new in the box for a 727 transmission, way under retail.

1965 New Yorker Sedan cleanup

Purchased from the original owner, it was bought in NY in 1964 and moved to California in 1966. Original invoice, plus the dealer gift of a rain smock and umbrella still in the trunk.

Her nephew started messing around with it and bought 3 extra air cleaners and new valve covers. The original 413 is fully rebuilt with an updated radiator and extra fan for cooling. A Holley carb had been added for now, but I plan to rebuild…

Finding a manual, removing seats, and other nonsense

Hello,

I’m trying to check for a broadcast sheet on a 65 4-door hardtop New Yorker. The manual selection for this year isn’t great, no Haynes and a handful of homemade books are what I have found so far. I am going to overhaul lots of little bits where I can. I’d love to find an original AM/FM Radio and a power antenna. This car has the reverberator and rear speakers already. I have never dug into this series before so I would really prefer a manual or diagrams to go into the facelift…
