A thread question…

The left side rear drum won’t come off & I see someone has been violent to it before & the crown nut only goes on its normal way but I wanna put it on backwards while using the pulley, so I wonder if someone know the thread on the shaft cuz I need to rinse it… & it’s a -56 New Yorker, 12 inch drums.

(Yep, I wanna have that!)

Getting a bolt out from a brakedrum…

I’ve banged it HARD after heating it & adding penetrating oil & then I drilled a small hole & started to drill bigger ones from both sides also… But just as when I started it, the bugger only comes out bout one millimeter:

My steering box is way gone, tightend it stone hard but still has a play way to biiig… So I wonder if a box from a -59 Windsor would fit my -56 New Yorker?

Gearboxes…

Does anybody know if it’s possible to use a modern wire shifted gearbox with push buttons?
I wouldn’t mind getting rid of the shifter:

Handbrake on a -56 Chrysler

Howdy, new here, I’ve got a -56 New Yorker that’s earlier has been robbed on its driveline exept the rear end. A couple owners down the line someone did it cuz the Hemi was stuck badly & the gearbpx was scrap too, so he put a LA 318 & 727 in it & “it works fine” as long as one don’t open the hood.
Anyway; the inspection here don’t care if the trans has “park”, you got to have hand-/parking-brake too…
The guy I bought the car from said “it needs another rear axel” but I wonder if it aint…
