Look’n not proper inside brake drum…

I just got the e-brake fixed but driver side wouldn’t brake so I took of the drum & found it like this… & I can’t get the "plate thing" to sit in a way to stop the adjusting wheel to move, it just lays beside the wheel:

E-brake, change from drum on trans to rear axel

My -56 N.Y. had got newer engine & trans before I bought it so I changed to newer rear axel for the need of e brake, but now I don’t know how to continue…

Master cylinder thoughts…

I’m planning to replace the master cylinder on my -56 NewYorker & I wonder if anyone knows if there’s some newer MoPar model that fits? I have one from a Volare laying somewhere, if that’s an option I’ll dig it out…

1963-64 rear axel

I wonder if someone who has a 63-64 Chrysler could tell me the messurements center-to-center for the spring perchers? I can’t find any numbers in any list of those years.

Rear axel messurements

I’ve been looking at lists of dimentions of rear axels such as this one:

In this list the numbers looks more like metric but that don’t seem right at all…
& I don’t understand it when I look at my messure tape.
