Bad touch-up correction

I’ve got a lot of time to play with this but I thought I’d throw it out to you guys. My Monaco’s paint is pretty scraped up with a few heartbreaking dents in places. Nothing I can’t live with for a few years. A few of the scrapes are through the primer which, again, wouldn’t be a big deal had the PO not touched them up lightly with a rattle can of very wrong colored paint.
The coats were so lightly applied with no primer, they have light surface rust happening.

383 Oil pan for 1967 Monaco 500

I’m looking for a used but straight oil pan for my Monaco. Mine has an appreciable dent in the sump.

Let me know what you got!

Jack stand points.

Hi all, my 67 Monaco is getting new tires tomorrow and she’s gonna have to sit on stands overnight. I’ve got the rear up with the axle housings on stands.

Was going to put the forward stands under the control arms but can’t quite squeeze them in without the car resting on them in a very awkward way. I know I can’t go to to subframe, where do you suggest I put them?

Thanks!

I don’t have much for pics just yet, it took a good 45 minutes to get her off the trailer so I’m just warming up a little before I start picking away. I’ll say this from an initial inspection: She’s mostly solid and generally straight. Only really ugliness I found was an old silicone job on the rear window …. That’s gonna…

Drivers and gratuities

Hi all,

Just wondering as my car is due in within the next two days what your thoughts are on tipping the driver. I always tip or at least offer but I’m not sure what a good range is for someone who presumably kept my newest and nicest acquisition safe for roughly 2000 miles.

Gotta keep the drivers happy.

Thanks!

Back in Ma Mopar’s Arms

Fellers, I feel a little iffy talking about this so soon as delivery is so far off. However, I feel the journey begins here so here I will start.

I’ve been back up on the forum since July 2016 when I posted about a ride from my past .. indeed, the one that started it all for me. I’ve since been searching, reading through your experiences and projects, rekindling my fire for the hobby, and brushing up and expanding upon my knowledge.

When I started looking again, I felt that holding out…

1967 Chrysler Newport

Not mine. Sort of a depressing looking bend in the front bumper, original console is missing, pissrr of a crease in the rear… BUT solid and running. Could be a nice ride!
