Thanks for the Mammaries – Early C-Body love

Found my buddies old C-Body site on The Wayback Machine today and was able to rescue some old photos of when I first fell in love with these girls. Nice trip down memory lane.

This here is the first C I ever saw, let alone drive. I’ve told the story a million times; a friend of mine picked her up for 700 bucks off a farm, a 1967 Monaco 500 with a 318 Poly. Crappy trunk floor but overall pretty solid. Car changed my tune pretty good! I’ll remember driving it as the absolute cementing of…

Rest easy, Harry Dean Stanton

Lost today. Rest easy, brother.

His finest from my standpoint…along with Warren Oats, Peter Fonda, Burgess Meredith, William Hickey and Margot Kidder.

Hey everyone,

So, the weekend of truth is nigh. Ahead of this, I’m wondering what you all would suggest.
It’s a stock 383 with about 100k on it, no noticeable bearing noise or burning (leaks to be determined) standard pan w/o windage tray, hi volume pump.
Theres a lot of engine clean out to take place in the first couple cruises so it will be changed in short intervals until storage this winter. I’m just looking to wind up with something that best protects a higher mileage engine that…

Edelbrock 1406 electric choke pos

anyone know what is the best circuit to draw positive from a 67 Monaco for an electric choke?

Thanks, fellers!

Ah darn… Edelbrock air horn dimensions ..

ah… so I can’t use my stock air filter with my Eddy. I’d really prefer NOT to go with an ugly ass open element.

Anybody got any options?

67 Monaco Taillights

here’s one I should know:

There was a thread about a 67 Polara that clearly had Monaco taillights a little while back but I can’t find it. So:

Now, the reason I ask is that I found a decent pair of 67 Monaco lights BUT they are like this:

I know it’s nitpick crap but my 67 Monaco has the inner chrome stripe like the ones in the first Monaco picture.

Anyone…

Pertronix Ignitor I and Flame Thrower coil

hey all,

I’m getting ready to do my ignition and I’m a little confused as to how to wire my coil. As the title says, I’ve installed the Igniter I kit and will be using a Flame Thrower coil.

What I’m wondering is that I’ve been reading a lot on how the coil gets wired in and ballast resistors. I don’t remember having to do anything about bypassing the BR in my other cars but have been hearing about doing so now.

I understand the reasons why one would but I’m not getting a clear…
