Stock Cylinder Head Flow Numbers Needed

Hello All,

It has been awhile since I’m been on the forum – just moved. As a result I haven’t touched the ’88 AHB Plymouth Caravelle (Gran Fury for you US guys), since May!!

I’m trying to calculate some camshaft specs for my engine as the Hughes item I was planning to use has an unknown delivery date. šŸ™ Does anyone have the cfm vs. lift figures for the intake and exhaust ports on a stock, unmodified ‘302’ head? Something captured via a proper flow bench like Superflow. I have searched…

Anyone Used Hughes Camshaft; HUG SER2226ALN-10

Hello All,

Need some feedback from anyone that has used a Hughes ‘HUG SER2226ALN-10’ in their 318? I haven’t purchased the cam as yet, out of stock at the moment. Focus of the modifications is torque and not horsepower along with sufficient vacuum for power brakes. The choice of the above Hughes part number (details in the link below), is linked to the lengthy engine details below.

The engine is the roller cam version of the LA. The heads are the ‘302’ version and will have mild porting…

Determine Which Model of 4 speed OD Automatic Transmission I Have?

Hello All,

I’ve been going around in circles trying to figure out which version of Dodge automatic I have.

The know it came from a 1995 Dodge Dakota pick-up with the 318 V8. The number on the side of the rail for the ATF pan is;
PK5211832421083192.

Depending on which website I go to it is either an A500, A518, 42RH, 44RH or 46RH which is a royal PITA. Makes sourcing any parts difficult. :)

The transmission is currently at my brother’s place about 2,000 km (1,200 mi), away so I can’t…

Aftermarket Fuel Tank Sending Unit Compatibility

Hello All,

Had an interesting challenge when I replaced the original fuel sending unit with an aftermarket one; Spectra Premium FG62A (via Rock Auto). I don’t know if anyone has experienced this issue but I thought it may save someone time and frustration correcting the problem.

Background
My ’88 Caravelle (aka Gran Fury), was in a barn from 2009 until I purchased it in 2022. The previous owner replaced the fuel tank when he pulled the car out of the barn due to the fuel having corroded…

Optional Rear Shoulder Belt Documentation???

Hello All,

I would like to add rear shoulder belts to my ’88 Plymouth Caravelle (aka Gran Fury). I have some ideas as to where the various components can be mounted but it would be nice to know how the factory did it.

So, I’m hoping someone has a copy of the optional (dealer installed??), rear shoulder belt installation documentation. Specifically where the retractor and upper belt guide are mounted as well as the belt routing from the retractor to the upper guide.

Appreciate any…

Dual Exhaust or Big Single

Hello All,

I have an ’88 Plymouth Caravelle (aka Gran Fury), that I eventually would like to convert to a better exhaust system. Bear in mind that mine has the vented fuel tank so moving it over to accommodate the drivers side tail pipe is not an option. So, my thoughts are as follows;

1. Run dual 2 1/4″ tail pipes side by side on the passenger side.

OR

2. Run a single 3 or 3 1/2″ tail pipe on the passenger side.

There are a number of muffler suppliers that offer dual inlet / dual…
