How do you tell if a 340 crank is Cast Iron or Steel?

Howdy you’all will probably know that a block casting id 2780930 340 4 is for a 340 block but what would the last number 4 signify ?
Any other info to volunteer ?

…..To nowhere, I want to remove my 69 Fury 111 rear sear squab, all directions say push back and down and then lift up?? Yer’e sure!!
My seat wont budge in any direction, Iv’e tried extra force but afraid of damaging it?
Any suggestions, there must be a way??

Domed pistons suit 318 for fitting 340 or 360 heads.

Me again, Is there any Yankee (by the way where does that term come from) sources of domed pistons that will maintain or increase compression when fitting the 340/360 heads or 65cc alloy heads on a 318?

J heads diff ? H and M ?

I”m looking at a pair of J heads 3671587 out of a truck but one has a “H” following the numbers and the other has an “M”, what is difference if any?
Also what chamber volume and year would they be? There dirty and I cant tell if they have steel seats or not?
