carb issues?

Well, after a loooong restoration, I’ve finally got a car that starts. Cam seems broken in, etc. I’ve got a stock Carter AFB (think it is a 4816 or something like that) carb. I’ve not timed the engine yet, but it fires right up. I still don’t think I’ve got the carb dialed in though.

My issue is…

I’ve been trying to find out how these were secured. I have the roller, but were these secured with a washer, and then just a basic cotter pin?

Cam peace of mind

Well, I finally got around to trying to start my 440 after a long restoration process. I’ve got a Comp Cams XE268 cam. I know you want to get it started as quick as possible, but after having the wife try the starter for 3 seconds at a time, I’ve realized I have no spark.
