Finally (and I mean Finally!) "rebuilt" all my window motors in the 67 Crown Coupe. When I mount them in the door, plug in the wires, they just run continuously. Does that mean my Window Switches are bad?

After closing the door today, it just fell open about an inch, still holding onto the latch slightly. I adjusted the latch all around as much as it would move but that never helped anything.
I then shut the door and held it closed, then locked it. I …

Shee mar recently started making the switches again (SM107T for 1967 Imps with Tilt/Tele), now doing the install, the diameter is too big. See pic.
Company support claims I must have an alternate steering column.
If I were to trim some of the plastic around the edges enough to make it slide inside the column, does anyone foresee that preventing the switch from operating?

Or am I better off figuring out where the column came from and buying the switch for that? Though I’m not believing…
