Slow-ish wipers

1966 Newport with variable speed wipers:

I know it’s foolish to expect modern day performance from 57 year wiper technology, but is there something I can do to speed up my slow wipers? I’m thinking something along the lines of taking the linkages apart and lubing them, new bushings or whatever, *maybe* a new motor . . .

Now, I normally don’t drive in inclement weather, so it’s mostly a moot point, but I do live in Washington State, and having all four seasons in one day IS a thing that…

Would these wheels fit?

On my 66 Newport (provided I can even get them)?

66 blower motor removal

Idle gets slower and slower . . .

The idle on my 66 Newport 383/2v gets slower and slower until it stalls. What do you think could cause this issue? Car ran fine when parked for the winter in November. Fuel in the tank and carb is non-ethanol 91 octane. Started it back up after sitting for three months, and now it doesn’t really want to stay running.

thanks!

66 Exhaust Tips

Does anyone have a photo or dealer/promo picture of the ORIGINAL exhaust tailpipes, showing the “tips” on the 66 Newport/300/New Yorker with TNT440 engine factory dual exhaust that can confirm/deny that the exhaust tips match what TTI sells as option TD2 “TURNDOWNS w/ 5-DEGREE UPSWEEP” as seen here:
Exhaust Tips go to Section 8, option TD2.

I’m asking because they look like they’d fit a Fusie just fine but maybe not so much on a Slab body . . . Thanks.

Weak Blower motor??

1966 Chrysler Newport with factory AC.

The output of my blower motor seems weak compared to modern vehicles. I assume that’s to be expected, but even with my 3 speed fan on full blast and the setting on DEFROST, the output of air to the windshield is…
