1961 Newport door seal end cap.
Does anyone know where to get the door seal end caps for a 1961 Chrysler Newport 2 door ?
They look like the ones in the link but i think they may be different for a 61 .

Side Mirror mounting fasteners/bolts/screws .
I want to install side mirrors on my 1961 Chrysler Newport .
It doesn’t have any installed at the moment so i will have to drill some holes , i’m sure i will cringe when i do this .
So what size hole and gauge fastener do you fellas use ?
I though about self tapping screws but thought they might come loose .
Bolt with nut on the inside of fender ?

Water pump housing touching timing cover .
While my gearbox is getting sorted i have pulled my engine to replace welch plugs and gaskets .
I have replaced sump and timing cover gaskets and was ready to install the water pump housing but there is 3 lugs on the back of the housing that touch the timing cover.
Enough to leave about a 3mm gap where it bolts onto the block.
The gaskets won’t take up this .
I didn’t notice this when i took the housing off and there seems to be no wear marks on the timing cover where it would of been…
