Helper Springs

My car is a 1961 Chrtysler Newport hardtop .
I have recently put wider rims and tyres on with a lower profile .
The rear tyres are slightly scrubbing the inner guard .
New leaf springs are not an option at the moment money wise but will be in the future .
Has anyone used these helper springs before .
They are 470mm long so i don’t know if they would be long enough .

The previous owner of my 1961 Newport had relocated the battery to the boot/trunk.
I am putting it back in the engine bay but have noticed they have the battery positive cable straight to the BAT terminal on the starter relay .
