T5 WC behind a 340

So I’ve been doing some research and reading all the old threads about putting a Foxbody T5 WC behind a Mopar. I know some people will say its not worth it and it wont hold up but thats fine. If I blow it up, I’ll rebuild it or get one of the Z spec tranys from summit.

For the people that are interested here is a list of parts that I have gathered so far to start the swap.

I already had the flywheel, clutch pedal assembly, T5 and drive shaft.

Moving to North Carolina

Hey guys,

My job offered me a position at the new plant they are opening in Mayodan NC and I took it! I’m 24 and have been in VT my whole life so this is a pretty big and exciting change. I was just curious how many Mopar guys are in the area and what the muscle car scene is like there?

I’ve been working on the duster and hopefully will have it ready or at least painted for when I move in April.

Hey guys, this was a video from our last weekend out in October before we all ripped the rigs apart for the winters upgrades. Just thought I’d post it up for some fun watching! There’ll be more next year! And if you are close to Vermont and have a rig you’re more then welcome to join us for a weekend!

Thompson Speedway Swap Meet: Flywheel Help

Hey all, this weekend I’m going to the swap meet in Thompson Connecticut for the first time :-D. I have a cast crank 340 that I am doing a 4spd conversion and I need a flywheel and bell housing w/ clutch fork. What should I look for to know which is right? What are the markings on the externally balanced 340 flywheel? Will any small block 340 bell housing with O/D work? Or are the clutch forks different? Should I bring some calipers to measure the bearing retainer opening diameter?

Edit: OK…

High Oil Pressure >.<

So this is an issue i still need to address from when i rebuilt my 340. When I got the car it had a recent piston ring job so I was told and when i ran it, there was no smoke or anything so I went about giving her some attitude. I put a big cam, long tube headers, high rise intake, 750 carb, heads re-machined and valve job etc and she runs awesome! And the response is just rediculis. But when she runs at like 1200rpms the mechanical oil pressure gauge is pegged at 100. Once she warms up and is…
