I have a leak along the side of the windshield (both sides). Now the question is do I run a bead of butyl inside the windshield seal (left and right side)? The seal is of the zipper type. I believe from my test the water in getting in at the top of the zipper strip and running down inside next to the window edge and leaking to the inside. Once the seal is zipped shut I dont think water gets in directly along the side especially when the trim is covering it. I could just put a dab of butyl at the top where the gap is at.
Has anyone had experience on this issue?
