Twin Scoops

Hey people,
It's been a long time since I've been around. From October '08 to Feb '09, I was working 18 to 20 hours a day, 6 days a week. I had no time for e-mails or anything computer related. Never mind having any kind of life.

Now I'm working 12 to 14 hours a day, 5 days a week and 5 hours on Saturday. Yesterday (Friday) I was lucky and had everything done in 9 hours, so I go to the shop and decide I'll work on installing the hood scoop bezels and mounting hardware that I got a month or so ago from PG Classic in New Brunswick, Canada. http://www.pgclassic.com/

I removed the scoops. Washed them and the hood. After everything was dry, I installed the studs in the scoops with some blue Loctite. Only 1 hole had stripped threads in the fiberglass scoop. I'll have to figure out a way to fix that. Don't want to lose a stud. The scoops were previously held on with self tapping screws and large washers. Three of the 16 screws managed to disapper over time.

I added a few pics here, http://www.flickr.com/photos/10722030@N05/sets/72157619883086399/
They're not the greatest since I used my cell phone. The last 2 fuzzy shots are of some washers that I have no clue where they go. There's some soft foam washers that I assume go on the mounting studs between the scoops and the top of the hood. Or do they go on the bottom of the hood under the tin nuts? Does anyone who has a Demon, Duster or Super Bee with these scoops have a picture of how all this goes together?

I'll just add one more thing. This was the first time in 5 years that I actually enjoyed working on the Demon.... or any car for that matter. I just took my sweet time doing this and puttered away at it. There's one hole that wasn't drilled on the hood and I'll get to that today and take a few more fuzzy photos.

I just finished waxing the hood and scoops. I'm gonna stick a heli-coil in the stripped hole. I hope I don't damage the scoop even worse. I'll loosely mount the scoops for now so I don't trip over them.
