Silicone spray on rubber?

A local guru says this is the only stuff to use on soft rubber parts...weatherstripping and seals. The rubber seems to drink it in. It takes several applications for over a few days for it to take to the rubber completely.

You don't want the spray going everywhere. I had good luck using the straw thingee and just barely spraying it under my finger as I went along the rubber to kind of spread it around. Guru guy said spray on a cloth then apply.

It's only for rubber, not for dashes, plastic panels, etc.

I did a search and didn't find anything on this stuff. Has anybody here used it? Thanks as always.
