Question on how the battery cable should be run in the engine compartment. It doesn't seem the cable is suppose to run along the inner fender, along the firewall and over to the starter. Should it just run to the starter in a mild curve or can it be tucked in closer to the edge of the engine compartment if it were long enough? Not sure how the factory cable ran as cars are changed and cables replaced with newer shorter ones. Just seems to me that cable is hanging out there when it could be routed a little neater.
