Mini Stock 2.2 or 2.5

Its a pure stock class, I know that more cubes is usually better, but in this class going from a 2.2 to a 2.5 also comes with 300lbs of lead ( the weight rule is 1lb per CC plus 200). Is it worth it?
Its a Shadow asphalt car with a carb motor and stick shift
