In talking to a mechanic about my 318 I am building, he seemed to think that a stock compression, 302 heads with 360 valves, the 268 comp cam, would not be enought to be able to use an air-gap intake. I also have a Holley 600 carb and headers. He sounded pretty sure that the intake was too much for this set up. Ouch....everything is already assembled and ready to install in the car. Any knowledge on if it might be a problem or not? He recommended the 2176 Performer intake from edelbrock. Thanks for any help.
