got to go racing today!

Even though we had a foot of snow in So Md last sunday (which delayed the planned opening of Capitol Raceway) , we had perfect weather for the first race of the season at MIR today (Sunday March 8, 2009).

I was suprised we did not have that many cars there, but there was a whole bunch of late model challengers, chargers & 300's (like the local SOMD chapter of the Mopar LX club decided to have a track day?).

due to the low car turn out (25 cars in Pro Street & 60? in Supper Street), I managed to get in 6 runs during open session time trials, another 3 runs in TT sessions and 3 runs in eliminations.

Car ran consistant 12.20's when it was cool and would run a bit slower when it was warmer. I won in the first 2 rounds and redlit in round 3 (probably would of lost to that guy anyhow). In the first round I had a perfect reaction time .000 and almost a perfect run 12.247 on a 12.23 index (if I would of run a 12.230 I would of won a $1000 shopping spree at Speed Unlimited?).

Car ran well except is ran down the battery and became hard to start, need to upgrade my batteyr cables , battery and other stuff to fix it . Probably will go out to buy a portable jumper pack to carry with from now on.
