I found out the hard way today that you can never let your guard down. I was at work and just headed to the store next door for coffee break when it happened. We had freezing fog here last night and it put a nice fresh coat of black ice on everything. I started down the concrete stairs that are under a roof and slipped. I was airborn and landed on the the point of one of the stairs square on my bottom right rib in the back. Luckily I didn't break anything but I am bruised up real good and can barely move. I will be off work for a couple of days but that should be it. I consider myself lucky it wasn't any worse. And it only took me 3 hours at the emergency department. That was a big surprise.
