Hello all, I’m getting ready to drop in my rebuilt 340 into my 72 Scamp. Has anyone installed the engine assy. with the factory Hi-Po exhaust manifolds bolted on to the engine before dropping it in?
The car has manual steering so I hoping I can clear the steering shaft and the engine drops into the K frame. Anyone done it this way?? or,….. should I install the exhaust manifolds after the engine is on the K Frame??

I found a set of pretty nice older and discontinued 1997 Hooker Super Comp 5116 painted headers. Part number is 5116 with date code of 03 97
A couple of small dings but nothing that would hinder flow.
Anyone ever installed these into their A body small block with auto on the column and manual steering?
Price is $ 150…and I’m considering snatching them up for my 340 72 Scamp.

Any thoughts ? or opinions ? How about the column shift automatic…any issues there?
