Auction score…

Local shops quoted me $30 to press out parts, with another "couple" bucks to press the new parts in. With the front end rebuild for the Duster still to be done and two Dakotas squeeking like mice, I had decided to bite the bullet and buy a 20 ton press from Harbor Freight - I was just waiting for one of their 15% off coupons...

Then, about two weeks ago I was at a farm equipment auction and seen a 30ton press in the sale. An older model covered with a layer of rust, dust and you know what. The upper guide tubes were angled, but the jack worked. I got it for $70! Disassembled it completely, BFH on the tubes, wire brush and a coat of paint and it looks like new. I tested it out last night by pressing the shaft out of one lower control arm - it didn't even break a sweat. I looked at the 20T model at H.F. the other day, that looks like a toy compared to this one!

Just thought I would share, y'all have a good day - and Go Dawgs!
