Newby to this forum and these trucks, so bare with me.
I’m in the process of rebuilding my truck (comprised of 75 frame and suspension and 78 engine and body) and have hit a snag.
When reinstalling the accessories onto my 318, the alternator seems to sit too far back now (nearly pressing up against the block), the adjustment bolt doesn’t line up anymore and I can’t figure out how to fix it.
Originally it was an AC truck, but since most of the parts are missing I am doing away with the compressor and such brackets and picked up a non-AC alt bracket. Can I use the same alternator or do I need to pick up a 1v pulley alternator?
