I am trying to set my timing as the thing is a slug right now. I have a 0 degree mark on the timing but nothing else is marked. I have one line toward the top above 0 and 2 lines towards the bottom below the 0 mark. Anyone know what degrees the other lines would be? Also the book says 2 1/2 btc timing. Does this sound right? I twisted the dizzy and moved the mark closer to 0 and it runs much better but I don't know if the first lower line is 5 or 10 degrees to guess where the crank timing mark is sitting. Any input is appreciated. Also the tranny won't kick down when floored. I checked the linkage and it won't go all the way back when floored and is all the way forward at idle. Is it better to have it come all the way forward at idle or set it to go all the way back when floored? I know I was told all the way forward at idle and all the way back when floored but the kickdown rod will not travel that far. It's a 904 pushbutton auto.
