I'm currently rebuilding a 69 383 block w/452 heads and I'm going to drop it into a 63 sport fury and it's replacing the 361. I did not realize that Cam Shafts could play such a huge part of your motor and how it runs, therefore I want to make the right move on the camshaft. I'm not looking to take it on to the stripe and makes some passes, but I'd like it to have some Pep.
Right now I'm looking at a Comp Cam Xtreme Energy with a duration of .218-.224 or that Mag Muscle at .222-.226. Am I thinking too mild? Is there room for a bit more aggression?
It's all pretty much a stock rebuild and everything else in the Fury is Stock.
